Our school ethos
CSD is committed to provide the best dance education for every student to achieve their best, whether they are dancing as a hobby or pursuing a performing career.
Our goal is to build students confidence, nurture their self-esteem and self-discipline, by teaching through kindness and compassion.
Teachers will create a safe and trusting environment where students love of dance and performing can grow. They will adapt their teaching methods to the individual, giving students learning tools which can be used in and out of the studio.
Dance is where artistry and athleticism meet, and this theme carries through all classes taught at CSD. Developing students strength, co-ordination and musicality. Students receive the type of training that turns them not just into successful dancers, but accomplished human beings, prepared to achieve whatever they set their minds to.
We run themed workshops throughout all the school holidays for aged 4 - 9 years. These are open to students, siblings and friends. Previous workshops have included - Swan lake, Frozen, Matilda, Superheroes, Halloween and many many more!
We also invite a variety of performers, teachers and industry professionals to run exclusive workshops for ages 10+.

Here at CSD we value the importance of performing.
Dance is a performing art and it benefits students in both audition and exam settings.
Shows are a fun way to teach students responsibility, time management and commitment. They can help children get used to being in front of an audience - whether it's to dance, act or speak publicly.
Younger students get inspired by watching and working alongside senior students, and as teachers we get to watch a students confidence grow show to show. Its amazing!
Our next performance will be - January 2024!
